CD-R Recordable drives

We are looking at making CD-ROMs to store imaging data that we are going to
be creating. I've looked at some of the interchange so far on the list this
year, and some articles a couple of years ago, but I am looking for
specific advice that those articles don't quite address. I don't think I am
interested in CD-R/W as they are expensive, and there was a discussion about
them as being a little difficult. What are the things I should look for,
and what should I avoid in buying the device? I know we can get the actual
CD's in bulk for about $2.00 each. Sorry if this question is a little
vague. You all have been so very helpful with my questions in the past.

Doug
