Have you investigated your plastics? Manufacturers change the formulation of the plastic from time to time and when I had a problem with 'spontaneous' activation of neutrophils I discovered that the 'cracking fraction' ( whatever that is) of the plastic used to make my LP4 tubes had been changed - the manufacturers said they didn't notify anyone unless they received a 'significant ' level of complaints! Nest; Polystyrene is particularly good at activating cells anyway, so polycarbonate and polypropylene are preferable. Finally, are you using something different to clean out your facs lines, perhaps? Even if the agent itself is flushed out thoroughly it may be altering the lumen of your tubing.
