Dear Flow-ers,

Considering the number of people analyzing flow cytometry data, the
number of third party packages for the Windows platform is surprisingly
small. There are several free programs that provide basic
functionality and some expensive packages that provide a richer feature
set. A year ago, De Novo Software, with the help of Dr. Howard M. Shapiro,
set out to develop a fully featured flow cytometry data analysis software
package that was available for an affordable price.

De Novo Software is proud to announce that the culmination of this
effort, FCS Express, is available. FCS Express is a powerful data analysis
package that is incredibly easy to use. A more detailed description of FCS
Express, as well as a free demo, is available at our web site
http://www.denovosoftware.com. If you want to analyze your data on the PC,
FCS Express offers a combination of power and affordability that you cannot
afford to pass up!

The following is just a brief list of just some of the features FCS Express
offers:

-WYSIWYG printing.
-Drag and Drop capabilities. Drag markers, quadrants, histograms, overlays
from one plot to another.
-Comprehensive Statistics.
-View and change information stored in the FCS header.
-View the raw data and copy it to the clipboard.
-Export the data into multiple formats (including ascii).
-Overlay dot plots.
-Powerful and easy to use batch processing.
-Automatically calculates absolute numbers of binding sites and displays
statistics in terms of numbers of binding sites.
-Calculate the concentration of your sample.
-Create gating regions from markers.
