PI/PE

I apologize, I did not make myself clear. The information we want on PI is
for staining slides. Not Flow Cytometry. The user came to me because she
has used PI on the Flow for DNA analysis, and thought I would be able to
help with general info on the dye,ie quenching time. She really wants to
know the quenching time/potential of PI because she needs to put it under a
microscope and is curious whether or not the light from the scope will
quench the fluorescence before she can look at the slide.
I realize this isn't a true "cytometry" question, but I thought somebody
might just know the answer. She was also curious as to the quenching time
of PE because she thought it may be better to work with than PI but less
light sensitive than FITC which she has tried to stain slides with, but is
having problems with it fading.
	Sorry for the confusion,
	and once again,
	Thanks in advance,
	Joan K
