Dear Flowers JOB ADVERTISEMENT MATER MEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE BRISBANE AUSTRALIA FLOW CYTOMETRY OPERATOR A vacancy exists at the Mater Medical Research Institute for a Laboratory Technician experienced in flow cytometry and cell sorting. The Institute operates as part of the health care ministry of the Sisters of Mercy, Brisbane, and supports research in the area of cancer and related disciplines. Professor D.N.J. Hart has been appointed as Director of the Institute. An active research programme has commenced in Basic Oncogenesis, Tumour Angiogenesis, Basic Immunology (Dendritic Cells), General Cell Biology, Tumour Phenotyping and Cancer Biotherapy. A diagnostic / clinical trials unit may be developed in collaboration with clinicians at the Mater. The position is suited to highly motivated and enthusiastic laboratory personnel who seek both the responsibility for all operations of the flow cytometry unit and to maintain knowledge of contemporary developments in specific techniques of flow cytometry.
