As far as references go, Dr. Michael Borowitz noted the significance of
blastic identification via CD45 intensity in "Immunophenotyping of Acute
Leukemia by Flow Cytometry" in Clinical Immunology.  There have been
more recent studies suggesting that very weak CD45 staining intensity
may be a good prognostic indicator analagous to CD34 staining in
pediatric ALL's.
