Dear Bob,

It seems to be a well-kept secret that Ho33342, excited by UV, can distiguish live, dead and apoptotic cells.

A two-minute incubation with 1uM Ho with rapid dilution thereafter to prevent full equilibration, does the trick.

The lives show as ca zero blue flce, the apototics as dim and the deads as bright.

There is ome literature on this
Cheers, Bob
