Thanks for your interest - Lisa Glickstein, Ph.D. Instructor of Medicine New England Medical Center FACS OPERATOR will run a Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorter Facility, including FACScan and FACSstarPlus instrument, and computer-integrated and illustration systems. Will perform sorting and analytic experiments on biological materials; interacting with scientists in planning experiments; assisting in the administration of the facility; and performing routine technical maintenance on equipment and computers. The successful candidate must be either an experienced FACS operator or a cytometrist with two years sorting experience and have prior experience with computer hardware (IBM-compatible). A BS degree, computer skills, technical dexterity, and biology experience required, as well as the ability to interact well with others. Prior research assistant/technician experience an asset.
