POSITION OPENING
SENIOR RESEARCH GROUP MANAGER
Please re-post the following position, at Becton Dickinson Immunocytometry
Systems, located in San Jose, California:
This is a senior R&D position responsible for initiating, directing, and
executing Research and Development projects. Interacts with other senior
managers, requiring the negotiation of extremely difficult matters to influence
policy-making bodies both internally and externally. Responsible for the design
and execution of research projects defined by the individual within broad
objectives.
Typically requires a PhD or MD in Immunology, Microbiology or related scientific
discipline and 10 years of Post Doctoral experience in an academic or industrial
environment. Preferred experience in immunology, vaccine development,
transplantation, infectious diseases, or autoimmunity. Technical proficiency
with Flow Cytometry, molecular analysis, and immunoassays also preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of statistical principles of experimental design and
analysis for experiments evaluating the precision and accuracy of two or more
methods, and an understanding of efficient screening designs for multivariate
optimization and their analysis.
