I have also analyzed pig blood (lymphocytes specifically) and I isolate
the cells by doing a LSM density gradient first. Something else you
could try if you need to stain whole blood and then lyse as with the BD
product is try instead to use what Coulter immunotech and Gentrak make.
The techniques are identical which leads me to believe that the chemical
formulations are identical. I usually use the Gentrak product and have
used it with simian and mouse blood. I can only presume that pig blood
would also work. Feel free to contact me if you like!
