I am hoping to look at apoptosis within a specific TCR population (VB8) following superantigen stimulation, and plan to use one of the handy Annexin V kits for this. I want to add sodium azide to the buffer to keep my TCR from capping. Will this interfere with the Annexin V binding? The only reason I ask is that EVERY buffer for cell preparation that I've used has sodium azide, and the omission of this from the CaCl buffer in the annexin kits is suspicious. All insights (and wild guesses) appreciated! kb -- Keith Bahjat Graduate Assistant University of Florida College of Medicine Gainesville, Florida kbahjat@ufl.edu
