For those of you I mislead with my summary of WinMDI, here is the real story.

David,

 WinMDI accepts data from CellQuest generated listmode FCS
files, but *not* images. The Mac QuickdrawPICT 72 dpi limitation on
resolution is the real problem using the Mac + CellQuest -> desktop
publishing applications. FYI - WinMDI was written mainly as a PostScript
engine (via Print to File), but also sends bitmaps to the Windows
clipboard and will create placeable Metafiles (Aldus format) via
its SaveAs function. In other words, the whole point of WinMDI to
to draw on the device context at device resolution, be that your screen,
printer, or slide maker.
