I seem to remember a debate in the past, I can't recall whether it was in this newsgroup or elsewhere, about the detection and selection of the best antibody producing clones on the basis of surface immunoglobulin expression levels, i.e., that in any given line, those cells with the highest density of surface Ig were (potentially) the best antibody producers. Does anyone recall this, know of any published data, or have any insights or experience on this issue? Thanks, HTP Howard T.
