Michaeleen, On quite a few occasions we have seen the MY4+/Mo2- pattern on monocytoid leuks which appears to tie in to a more "primitive" morphology. I will second the esterase staining - it's the only one of the "traditional" cytochemicals we still use routinely. CD45 vs MPO staining is also sometimes useful when the M4 vs M5 decision is difficult. Wal Sharp SQU Oman
