Michaeleen,
        On quite a few occasions we have seen the MY4+/Mo2- pattern on
monocytoid leuks which appears to tie in to a more "primitive" morphology.
I will second the esterase staining - it's the only one of the
"traditional" cytochemicals we still use routinely.
CD45 vs MPO staining is also sometimes useful when the M4 vs M5 decision is
difficult.
