Vincent, Back in March/April 1995, I collected responses and posted information regarding salaries, predominantly for flow cytometer operators working in core laboratories. The goal was to obtain ammunition with which directors could arm themselves when it came time to justify salary increases for their technicians. The information is obviously somewhat outdated, and may not be of much use to anyone any more. I have been contacted by several individuals within the last six months requesting info about the old survey. One inquiry in particular was from a university administrator whose job is to justify salaries and raises! It actually might be of some benefit to several individuals if someone (not me!!) were to update the survey, since flow operators represent a very specialized group of technicians/res. associates, and it is often difficult to justify higher salaries or raises to administrators. If you or anyone else is interested in conducting such an updated survey, access the "Salary Survey" thread from March/April 1995 for info or contact me and I will be happy to make some suggestions as to how you might go about setting it up.
