We run lots of fibroblasts, endo/epithelia, ect (i.e...large, polymorphic,
adherant, whatever), and occasionally we experience the same phenomenon.  Keep
in mind that their may be an alternative explanation.  I've actually improved
flow by diluting my samples . . . perhaps the problem is that several cells
try to enter the sample delivery tube simultaeously, and stopping to vortex
has the effect of allowing the cells to backflow.  This may be your problem.
