At my facility, we have a FACS MAC Station (new upgrade) and were faced with the same question in regards to data storage. I would suggest that data could be left in a user's folder until he/she is completed with its analysis. The data could then be archived on a ZIP (if files are small enough) or on a Jaz. The problem with using the Jaz as a though it is another HD, (therefore having frequent use) is that it could wear and crash more quickly.....with all that data ion it ! That's why I would use it as an achive only...and even then, copy onto another Jaz as a backup.
