Colleagues: I have a postdoc position available to work with image analysis and confocal microscopy investigating cell growth in a collagen matrix material. I would like a person who has image analysis experience and who has perhaps worked in a lab with some depth in image analysis. I am prepared to look at people with more computational background. It will involved doing a fair bit of confocal which we can teach this person. Anyone with experience in imaging thick biological materials or who understands 3d reconstruction techniques will have a lot of fun working on this project. The position would be 1 year, renewable and pay between $21-25K. Living is cheap in Lafayette, Indiana, corn capital of.... (well Indiana I suppose!). We have lots of nice image instrumentation and all the tools you need to do great things I'm sure. Warning: Whoever takes this postion will very quickly learn how to make CDs!!!, work on web pages, and the other minor "learning-on-the- job" things we do in this lab! DON't even think of applying if you are not a team worker!!
