We routinely screen HLA B27 by BD reagent. A small percentage (approx. 3-5%) requires further confirmation by serological typing or an additional backup flow typing by a second Mab. 90% of these turn out to be B7 CREG. We have tried One Lambda, Serotec and recently Immunotech B7/B27 reagents. We have been very impressed with Immunotech B7/B27 reagent. One is able to distinguish B7 CREG vs B7+B27+ results quite easily. Vivian Wu (e-mail: ffwu@unixg.ubc.ca) Immunology Lab Vancouver Hospital & HSC B.C.
