Vadim Chromiak noted a problem with FTPing large files... I wonder if we can work out some way for us to set up out FTP site to place the files you need there broken into small (100kb) files so that you coudl then get the files you want, but in small chunks. We have a program that Steve Kelley wrote years ago when I wanted to take files home that were larger than a floppy disk. This program called BREAKUP is on our ftp site and it lets you break a file and put it back to gether again. Considering the problems associated with FTPing large files, I think that we could work out a way for the Purdue site to have a system wherby you could send a request for a particular file, we get teh file, break it up, put it on our FTP site and you could get it at your leisure (at 300 BPS!!). The files could be automatically mirrored on Guenter Valet's site if necesary. Would anyone else find this service useful?
