Hello, - Not strictly a flow-related question! I have a two part question regarding bone marrow/peripheral blood recovery from cytotoxic drugs like 5-Fluoruracil, cyclophosphamide, and doxorubicin. 1. While these drugs kill rapidly dividing cells, is there a "preference" for certain cells types (e.g. pre-B cells, grans, monos etc.) Also, has anyone else tracked the recovery rates of various cell types following administration of these drugs? (human or murine) This is certainly related to engines of hematapoiesis and cell lifespans. 2. For the clinical people: What doses of these drugs are of clinical relevance- that is, what doses are effective for tumor-killing, without killing the patient? I am trying to interpret our mouse models of recovery. Thanks in advance for any input, Jeff Please reply to me directly at: jeff_carrell@hgsi.com
