Sytox Green was originally studied as a viability marker for bacteria. However it also works very well for yeasts and lots of Eukarytoic cells. One of the references describing its use in bacteria is as follows: J. Appl. Bacteriol. 81, 411 (1996). Detailed conditions (time and concentration) for using it are described on the Product Information Sheet which can be requested from Molecular Probes. ---------------------------------------------- Mahesh K.
