There may be some confusion regarding the future locations of the Clinical Flow and Image Cytometry Courses. In the past, the Clinical Applications course had two parts (A and B) which were held consecutively, at the same location. Part A focuses on laboratory exercises and includes lecture and discussion sessions intended to teach basic principles and emerging areas of clinical applications of cytometry (generally 5 or 6 days in length), while Part B focuses on practical clinical applications of cytometry in the evaluation of patient samples (~2 days). For the past three years, the two parts, when held, have been at different times and locations. This comming summer (July, 1997), Part A of the Clinical Course will be held at Dartmouth Medical Center (Hanover, NH), while Part B will be held in conjunction with the Charleston Clinical Applications of Cytometry meeting (August 23-24, 1997). For further information regarding this year's Part A course, please contact Paul Wallace (802-649-2521); for further information regarding Part B this year, please contact Maryalice Stetler-Stevenson (301-402-1424), or Rick Duque (941-687-1498). In 1998, the course will return to its previous format, in that both Part A and Part B will be held consecutively, at Northwestern University Medical Center, Chicago, IL (date to be determined).
