The Swedish Society for Flow Cytometry (Svensk Förening för Flödescytometri : SFF) was founded Dec. 1st, 1994.

The objectives of the Society are:

• To promote research, education and progress in flowcytometry and related areas
• To promote communication and exchange of information between members by among others organizing meetings and symposia
• To stimulate education and research interests among members
• To promote the scientific collaboration with international organizations and laboratories in other countries
• To encourage the application of new methods and establishing of guidelines for clinical applications
• To cooperate with various organizations in quality control recommendations.
