present on hematopoietic precursor cells and endothelial
cells. |
| Antigen
distribution |
HPCA-1 is not
found on normal peripheral blood lymphocytes, monocytes,
granulocytes or platelet. It is present on 1% or less of
cells in normal human bone marrow suspensions.
Anti-HPCA-1 reacts with 30-70 % of acute leukemia
specimens, with both unipotent and multipotent progenitor
cells (CFU-C,BFU-E, CFU-E, CFU-GEMM) as well as all TdT
positive lymphocytes in marrow. |
