EBV receptor. |
Antigen
distribution |
CR2 has been
shown to react with C3 fragments C3bi, C3d, and C3d,g. It
is detected by flow cytometric analysis in peripheral
blood on all mature (m+d+) circulating B cells, but is
not found on T cells, NK cells or granulocytes. Low
density CR2 has been reported on granulocytes and
monocytes, but is not detectable on normal cells by flow
cytometric analysis using this monoclonal antibody. CR2
has been shown to be associated with the surface receptor
for Epstein-Barr virus. In lymphoid tissue both mature
and activated B cells are positive, while pre-B cells
(cytoplasmic m+), immature B (surface m+d-) and plasma
cells are negative. Also, weak expression has been shown
on T cells and several types of epithelial cells. |
