anti-IL-10, Clone B-N10

Introduction:
IL-10 belongs to the group of cytokines produced by Th2 cells and monocytes. It plays a role in B cell proliferation and antibody responses. IL-10 is a pleiotropic molecule that inhibits the cell mediated immune response by suppressing T helper type 1 responses (1-3). In the presence of elevated levels of IL-2 both Th1 and Th2 clones respond with increased proliferation levels while the addition of IL-10 results in decreased growth of both Th cell types

Application:
Anti-IL-10, clone B-N10 is used to detect cytoplasmic IL-10 in human T cells and monocytes by flow cytometry or by immunohistochemistry on aceton fixed cytospots or tissue sections. IL-10 has been associated with a number of diseases including septic shock, lymphoproliferative disorders, and autoimmune diseases.
The use of a specificity control, such as 1) unlabelled IL-10 clone B-N10, 2) recombinant IL10, or 3) mIgG1 isotype control is generally recommended.

Specifications:
Anti-IL10, clone B-N10, is a murine IgG1 monoclonal antibody specific for human IL-10. Clone B-N10 recognizes intracellular IL-10 in human leukocytes.
