SPECIFICITY
The DX5 antibody reacts with NK cells and a small T-cell subpopulation in all strains tested (e.g., A/J, AKR, BALB/c, C3H/HeJ, C57BL/6, C57BL/10, C57BR, C57L, C58, CBA/Ca, CBA/J, DBA/1, DBA/2, SJL, SWR).(1,2) Multi-parameter flow cytometric analysis has demonstrated that most cells which express NK-1.1 (NKR-P1C), as detected by mAb PK136, also express the DX5 antigen. Small subsets of DX5+ NK-1.1- and DX5- NK-1.1+ are found, especially among the CD3-positive population.(1,3) No activation or blocking activity of the mAb DX5 has been observed.(1)
USAGE
The antibody has been tested by immunofluorescent staining (approx. 1µg/million cells) with flow cytometric analysis to assure specificity and reactivity. Since applications vary, each investigator must determine dilutions appropriate for individual use.
