IObeads are superparamagnetic microspheres coated with a monoclonal antibody. The average diameter is 1µm. They have been designed for fast selection of cells, and for their rapid separation in a magnetic field. IObeads provide positive or negative selection of cells, with high efficiency and 100% cell viability. Negative or positive cell sorting may be achieved within 30 minutes.

The complex is stable and should be used like other beads. The efficiency of positive or negative selection varies from one antibody to another. These beads are not suitable for molecular biology. Sheep anti-mouse20 mg/2 mL Sterile suspension IM1181 IObeads-SaMIg are superparamagnetic microspheres coated with a sheep anti-mouse IgG (Fc) polyclonal antibody. They have been designed for coupling any mouse IgG to their surface. The complex is stable and provides positive or negative selection of cells that express the target antigen. The efficiency of cell selection varies from one antibody to another. CD8 coated IObeads are devoted to cell selection for HLA-ABC phenotyping. CD19 coated IObeads are devoted to cell selection for HLA-DR, DQ phenotyping. These purified suspensions (100% viable) are then used in a microlymphocytotoxicity assay. Two formats of magnetic holders are also available.
