A-Aminopeptidase M

Part Number: 7547069

Ala-Rho110 is a preferred substrate of aminopeptidase M. The aminopeptidases are a group of enzymes which hydrolyze peptide bonds at the N-terminus of polypeptides. Aminopeptidase M has been identified as the cell surface marker CD13. Aminopeptidase M may have a role in myeloid cell regulation as a negative regulator through inactivation of bioactive peptides. Inhibition of aminopeptidase M has been found to increase such processes as phagocytosis and immune responses to antigen and tumor cell stimuli.
Alternative enzyme nomenclature: alanine aminopeptidase, aminopeptidase N, EC 3.4.11.2
