The CD62E antigen, also called LECAM-2 or E-selectin, is a 115 kDa molecule which mediates neutrophil, eosinophil and monocyte adhesion to vascular endothelium. It is expressed by activated endothelial cells. Sialyl LewisX acts as a ligand for ELAM-1. 4D10 antibody is not a blocking antibody. 1.2B6 antibody partially inhibits the CD62E adhesion of eosinophils and of neutrophils to endothelial cells. Both antibodies were evaluated during the Fifth International Workshop on Human Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens.
