The CD26 antigen is a single-chain glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 120 kDa. It is a functional collagen receptor and is actually identical to dipeptidylpeptidase IV ectoenzyme. It is expressed by activated T cells and B cells and by macrophages. 4EL-1C7 (Ta1) antibody can mediate T cell activation in the presence of accessory cells bearing high-density FcR and exogeneous IL-2. Ta1 antibody was evaluated during the Second International Workshop on Human Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens. BA5 antibody was evaluated during the Fifth Workshop.
