CYTO-STATS |
The CD23 antigen is a transmembrane glycoprotein spatially associated with MHC Class II antigen. It has a molecular weight of 45 kDa. It is the low affinity receptor (FceRII) found on few peripheral blood mononuclear cells. It is expressed on a small percentage of resting B cells from peripheral blood or lymphoid tissue and on a much larger percentage of B cells following mitogen or antigen activation. 9P25 antibody does not recognize T cells, myeloid cells, erythrocytes or platelets. This antibody blocks the binding of IgE. HD50 (B6) antibody was evaluated during the Third International Workshop on Human Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens. 9P25 antibody was evaluated during the Fifth Workshop.
