CD10
CALLA
The CD10 antigen is refered to as the Common Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Antigen (CALLA). It is a type II integral membrane protein, identified as the human membrane-associated neutral endopeptidase, with a molecular weight of100 kDa. It is expressed on uncommitted lymphoid precursors. CD10 expression is lost as cells enter the T lineage. In theB lineage, CD10 expression is lost later, as cells acquire surface Ig expression. It is also expressed on activated and proliferating B cells in the germinal center and is found on neutrophils. J5 antibody was evaluated during the First International Workshop on Human Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens. ALB2 antibody was evaluated during the Third Workshop.
