COULTER CD15-RD1

COULTER™ CD15-RD1

COULTER CD15-RD1 is a monoclonal antibody that detects the CD15 antigen expressed on human neutrophils, eosinophils and monocytes. This antigen is also known as Lewisx (Lex). COULTER CD15-RD1 is used directly from the vial in immunophenotyping protocols. COULTER CD15-RD1 is available only for fundamental research and is not for clinical diagnostic use.

Single Parameter Histogram (CD15-RD1)

cd15-Single Parameter

Gating on the granulocyte population, COULTER CD15-RD1 is analyzed using orange fluorescence (RD1) vs count. An isotypic control is run as part of standard flow cytometric methodology for immunophenotyping. COULTER CD15-RD1 identifies neutrophils and eosinophils.

Molecular Orientation

cd15-Molecule

CD15 antigen is comprised of cell surface glycolipids and glycoproteins with a common terminal pentasaccharide known as Lewisx (3-fucosyl-N-acetyl-lactosamine.) This antigen is found on human white blood cells -- specifically neutrophils, eosinophils and monocytes.

Cell Type

cd15-Cell type

COULTER CD15-RD1 is moderately expressed on monocytes and strongly expressed on neutrophils and eosinophils; it does not react with other white cell populations.

CD15-RD1

Specificity

The CD15 antigen is comprised of cell surface glycoproteins and glycolipids with a common terminal pentasaccharide known as Lewisx (Lex). It is expressed by human neutrophils, eosinophils and monocytes.
