fluorescence intensity question

I,ve been asked to pass along a theoretical flow cytometry question.

1) Cell type A lacks receptor X expression and autofluoresces in channel 200.
Type A cells stained with FITC-conjugated anti-X mAb also fluoresces in
channel 200.
2) Cell type B has 10,000 X molecules on its cell surface and type B cells
stained with FITC-conjugated anti-X mAb fluoresces in channel 400.
( linear scale )

Inquiry: If cell type C has 5,000 X molecules on its cell surface and is
stained with FITC-conjugated anti-X mAb, in which channel will it
fluoresce?

Thanks for your comments,
Jim Tarara
