To throw a complete curve into this thread, I remember trying this Bu-1 a
long time ago for the same reason as aready given, to combine it with
surface markers. I eventually gave up after failing to get a good
separation of positive/negatives and getting a terrible DNA histogram as
well. I heard as well that a pure Bu-1 clone will not work, the reason
for denaturation was apparently a DNAase contaminant in the original
sample. I get good results on clinical and research samples using the
traditional denaturation, and I'm afraid I still cannot put a surface
marker into the assay!
