Flow cytometer/cell sorter operator
A position is available for a flow cytometer/cell sorter operator in the Flow
Cytometry Unit of the Biomolecular Research Facility at the University of
Newcastle. The facility has a Becton Dickinson FACScan and a FACS Vantage and
operates as a core facility serving researchers in the University Faculty of
Medicine and Health Sciences and the Biological Sciences in the Faculty of
Science and Mathematics, the Hunter Area Health Service and the greater
Newcastle area or Hunter valley.
Experience with flow cytometry is desirable but not essential as on the job
training will be provided. The appointment will be at HEW 5/level 2 ($30885 per
annum) and is available for one year in the first instance.
