The rate limiting step might be your CPU/hard disc arrangement rather than
the video card, depending on how Cellquest deals with large files. Before
you buy a new card it might be worth seeing what happens if you pull the
files off a RAM disc. It would definitely be worthwhile trying out any
accelerated card before you buy it.
