This is definitely not true. We have been using Fix & Perm
successfully for TdT staining using the Supertech mix of monoclonals
for the last five years. Any fixation procedure will induce
epitope specific alterations of the target antigens. Therefore,
any fixation and permeabilization procedure can only be
tested for specific clones. Also a consensus should always
only be achieved on methods and quality control but never
on company specific reagents. Similar reagents are by now
available from most diagnostic companies.
