the address of the mail list server will be: mbioc-efcs@gwdg.de The mail box installation has been made but the on-line access will only be possible in a few days. Once branched all messages sent to the above address, will be automatically redistributed to all participants of the discussion forum. At present, the: gwdg.de computer, when receiving mail under this address will reply that the user: mbioc-efcs is unknown.
Once the mail list server is functional, I would, like Jean-Luc, encourage the representatives of the various societies to bring up their thoughts about the formation of a federation or union of cytometric societies in Europe before entering into a broader discussion on the organizational aspects.
The Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Zytometrie (DGZ) has presently around 250 members, most of them being either clinical or research scientists.
