This covers the characterization and measurement of tissues, cells and subcellular components for assisted diagnosis, prognosis and therapeutic follow up. It includes pertinent aspects of histochemistry, cytochemistry, cell biology light and electron microscopy, flow and image analysis and instrumentation. Mathematical methods pertaining to this field as well as experimental models for toxicology and pharmacology where the cell is considered as the "test tube" are solicited.
