Short Summary
This book was conceived with the understanding that the advantages of using a
confocal microscope can only be realized with proper sample preparation.
The goal of the book is to provide background information as well as
specific, detailed protocols for sample preparation for both new and
experienced confocal microscope users. Each of the thirteen chapters
was written to stand alone. However, there are several general topics
covered by two or more chapters: basic confocal microscope concepts and
limitations, immunofluorecence applications, subcellular physiology
studies, and neurology. Now available in spiral bound form, this book
will be a useful reference to anyone using or planning to use a confocal microscope.
