The CD64 antigen (FcgRI) is a glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 72-75 kDa.It belongs to the Ig superfamily, consisting of three C2-like Ig domains exposed on the extra cellular side.It is the high affinity receptor for IgG and is able to bind monomeric human IgG1 and IgG3.This antigen is expressed on macrophages, monocytes and interferon g (IFN-g) and Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) induced neutrophils. The 22 antibody shows especially high affinity binding to human mononuclear phagocytes. The epitope recognized by this antibody is distinct from the IgG binding site. This antibody was evaluated during the Fourth International Workshop on Human Leukocyte Differentiation Antigens.
