autofluorescence

We are having problems with high levels of autofluorescence in
murine spleen cells from transgenic animals. This shows up as a
cigar shape on an FL1 versus FL2 cytogram with NO antibody or any
fluorchrome present. The transgenics contain the alpha and beta
chain genes for human HLA-DR3.
This phenomena only occurs in the transgenic animals, not in liter
mates and not in other normal mouse strains. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Tony Bakke
