Sodium Green

Has anybody done any work with Sodium Green? If so, could you please let me
know which cell lines you have attempted to load with this dye, and if there are
any tricks involved to do so. I have made an attempt to load CHO cells, but the
response was similar to my attempts to load Indo-1 (i.e., they would not take it
up). It is interesting that CHO cells take up ADB (a pH indicator),presumably
because of cytosolic esterase activity, yet will not take up Indo or Sodium
Green. Any information would be appreciated, especially from Keith Kelley (if
memory serves me correctly I think you had a message regarding a question about
Sodium Green on the network a couple of months ago).

Thanks,

Joe Dynlacht
