For a short introduction to version 2.0, get the file MFI200.DOC by FTP.
Version 2.1 adds:
TIME SLICING. A single data file (up to 250,000 events) can be sliced into
pieces of specified duration in seconds for kinetic studies. Histogram files
can be created for each slice for plotting purposes.
CONTROL FILE DESIGNATION. A single file per run can be designated as a
control file. Its fluorescence intensities (linearized or KMESF'd as
applicable) are corrected from the corresponding values for each fluorescence
parameter of subsequent files in the run.
GATES are still "rectangular" but are handled with less fuss. There are now
options to clear one or all gates. Gate names can now be up to 58 characters
long. Up to 8 gates can now be stored at once, from which one (or none) must
be selected per run.
There are a number of minor enhancements such as more consistent use of
ESC, warning about what ESC will do in a given context, and a menu from
which to select help topics directed to the screen.
