I'm interested to sort preparations of neurons isolated from mousebrain on
a FACStar Plus (no Turbo or Macrosort option). Does anybody have experience
with this. Basically my problems are the following:
1. Is there a good cell isolation procedure of the cells from fresh brain
tissue, that does not kill them, but results in round (no axons) neurons
that one could run through the sorter (I know one with trypsin + DNAse, but
like to hear if there are other smart ones out there....).
2. Is there any other differences in the sort setup (do you need a bigger
nozzle, or Macro Sort option ?) .
Thanks for any hints on the subject.
Matthias
