FYI - I discussed the problem with the folks at BD
last year, and they were quite responsive. CellQuest version
1.1.1 has been out for a while and DOES save the instrument
settings in the FCS text portion of the data file as numbered
BD$WORDs. With a minimal effort, you can figure out what
'BD$WORD' is what from the data there, or just read in the
settings from the file and send it to the instrument. If you
have Mac based BD instruments and don't yet have 1.1.1, nag
BD to get it.
