The New York Blood Center, the nation's pre-eminent independent blood
research, collection and distribution organization, is currently
seeking a qualified individual to maintain and operate flow cytometers
in our Laboratory of Stem Cell Biology. Research and Development in the
laboratory is aimed at understanding the regulation of blood cell
formation by Hemopoietic Stem Cells to improve their therapeutic value
in transplantation procedures.
You will be responsible for analyzing and sorting cells from blood,
bone marrow and other tissues and organs, as well as preparing samples.
Position also involves performing data analysis, using computer
software, and reporting resulting data. The successful candidate will
have a B.S. degree in Medical Technology of a Biological Science and
previous experience in flow cytometry analysis.
